Why Do Skeletons Never Invest in Real Estate?  They Don’t Have the Guts!

Ever wondered why skeletons aren’t showing up to your real estate open houses? Sure, they may have plenty of bones to pick, but when it comes to real estate investments, they just don’t seem to have the guts for it. Let’s dig deeper into the skeletal side of things and uncover the reasons why these bony beings aren’t lining up to view that hot new property.

#1: No Heart for Risks

Real estate can be an emotional rollercoaster—offers, counteroffers, inspections, appraisals…it's not for the faint of heart. And skeletons? Well, they’re literally heartless. Without a pulse, they can’t handle the excitement (or the potential stress) that comes with buying property. Their emotional investment is nonexistent.

#2: No Skin in the Game

Buying a home means more than just a mortgage—there’s sweat equity, skin in the game. Unfortunately, skeletons are bare-boned by nature. Without skin, they’re just not cut out for the long haul of home ownership. No curb appeal, either. I mean, can you imagine a skeleton trying to stage a home? Yikes.

#3: Spineless When it Comes to Paperwork

The truth is, even with all the bones, skeletons just don’t have the backbone for paperwork. Real estate contracts? Mortgage applications? Title deeds? It’s enough to make any skeleton collapse into a heap. They might be good at holding things together—ligaments, for instance—but when it comes to managing stacks of documents, they tend to fall apart.

#4: No Appetite for Real Estate Fees

Skeletons can’t stomach the idea of closing costs, commission fees, or even property taxes. These bony creatures prefer to keep things simple and cost-free (you don’t see them paying rent in graveyards, do you?). After all, why fork over cash when you can just rest in peace for free?

#5: Location, Location, Location...

Skeletons aren’t exactly drawn to that charming three-bedroom ranch home with a picket fence. They’re more into…well…crypts. Underground, dark, and cool—just the way they like it. Plus, property taxes on a crypt? Practically nonexistent. That’s the real win. Once your landscaping is looking its best, you’ll want to showcase your outdoor space. Summer is the time of year when most people like to get outside and play, so if you have a large backyard, patio, fire pit, water feature, or other outdoor attraction, make sure you show it off at your open house. Buyers shopping this time of year will want to take advantage of those items right away when they move in, so highlighting them in a way that helps buyers imagine the property as theirs is an excellent way to get a great offer.

#6: Cold Feet (Quite Literally)

Whether it’s first-time homebuyer jitters or the fear of commitment, skeletons tend to get cold feet. Actually, their feet are cold all the time—which is bad for sealing any real estate deal. You can’t negotiate with frozen toes, after all!

#7: They Can't Handle the Competition

In today's fast-paced real estate market, you need nerves of steel. Unfortunately, skeletons are just not cut out for the intense bidding wars. They tend to crumble under pressure—there’s no way they could survive the modern real estate market without coming apart at the seams (or joints, as the case may be).
